Try and give math a go!

Do you guys think maths is boring?

Well yes, but just imagine a time you would NEED to use math. Like when we need to calculate how much 2 pies and 1 star drink cost? Or how much does a ofu (dress) cost in manurewa shopping centre. Just imagine how stuck you are in the dairy because you can’t calculate the right change for your lollies and you build up a line and some guy tells you to “HURRY UP BRO.” (this isn’t personal i promise.) As you can see there are alot of things you need math for and so,except for staring out the window at math time you can actually participate in math activities or workshops and give it a go,who knows you might become the new Einstein in the future!! And maybe you’ll be able to give the right change to the shop keeper,Or you can calculate more equations than usual and you can increase your IQ to about 300! So as you can see you can do multiple things with math, give it a go!!

Sometimes..

Sometimes I hang out with the wrong people and I get into trouble because of them.

Sometimes I like to listen to music at max volume to block the real world from entering my mind.

Sometimes I try not to cry in front of my family because they’ll mock me for being “weak”.

Sometimes I like to be alone, but when people actually leave me alone I feel weird and I find myself shutting down, therefore I just keep quiet about my feelings for a long time.

Sometimes I  like my uncle’s presence more, because he treats me like a daughter more than a niece.

Sometimes I feel like I’m different from other kids but I don’t know, It might just be me.

term goals

My term goals are not to be “better in math” or “learn more vocabulary”. I came up with those excuses more than 100 times already, so it’s actually time to come up with REAL term goals that I can actually do till the end of term 1!

Starting with keeping me and my peers happy lets be real now, we all are happy at a moment of time till someone ruins it so maybe try and help that with keeping everyone in the class happy as well, the outcome of this will surely work right? Happy environment means better learning?

My next goal for this term is to help others understand their work. Doing this will get the work done faster and make a better routine for people as well, plus there is no harm helping others with what they’re stuck with.

I know it’s just 2 goals, but what if these 2 goals help A LOT of people around Ruapotaka?

Hopefully this will work

(fingers crossed!!)

Reflection on term 3

This term i  really enjoyed doing activities out of my comfort zone such as joining in peom recitals at the last minute(and getting 2nd place),playing netball to see the sport i perfer in the future, and helping my teacher with the manaikalani movie.Another thing i enjoyed was sience and how Mrs M taught us about the ¨states of matter¨.The activities i didn´t enjoy was that our crystal experiment didn’t work out the way we wanted it to work out,i also didnt enjoy how i got picked for last minute activities. This term was really SOMETHING. from the chaotic sport events,to the funny moments in class.
